COLOURS IN AMERICA: Jackson Pollock to Keith Haring

Action painting, dripping, stenciling, mixed media and more painting, print your tee-shirt.
11, 12,  13 & 14 August from 10am to 3pm

open to young people aged 6 to 15 & limited to 6 participants.

 Take your brushes and be Inspired by some great American painters of the past 70 years. Explore many simple techniques that make fabulous images :  charcoals oil pastels, gouaches and acrylics, pigments and collages.

You will draw from life as well as from imagination, use photography, you will explore some simple printing and stencilling techniques and…..paint !

From Hokusai to Chiriho, explore ink painting and illustrate your Manga

4, 5, 6 & 7 August from 10am to 3pm

open to young people aged 7 to 15 & limited to 6 participants.

Experiment with many simple techniques that make fabulous illustrations and great comics: inks, markers, water colors and gouache.

Explore how to draw the world of Shoujo & magical creatures, how to use frames and speech balloons, black and colour to give rhythm to a story.

Amazingness - An exhibition by Anna Hillman at Viewfinder Gallery

AMAZINGNESS is: Nature, in the urban environment, as it occurs everyday all around ... easy to miss but always there to be found.

Viewfinder Gallery in Greenwich/South East London, will be showing work from Anna Hillman series Amazingness, alongside photographs taken by children on recent Amazingness photography workshops, and also by visitors who have sent in their own photographs inspired by the Amazingness concept.

Anna will also be running children's photography workshops, which promise to be lots of fun. After an initial tutorial, children will be encouraged to photograph Amazingness near the gallery. Please book your spot as soon as possible as spaces are strictly limited. Children will need an accompanying adult, and to bring a digital camera. If you don't have a camera, let us know and we'll try to help. Sunday 8th June and Saturday 14th June, 10am-12pm, £7 per child.
